Hoobastank

Hoobastank is an American alternative rock band formed in 1994 in Agoura Hills, California, with vocalist Doug Robb, guitarist Dan Estrin the, drummer Chris Hesse and bassist Markku Lappalainen original.

Musical style and influences 

Hoobastank's music has been considered several genres that are post-grunge, alternative rock, alternative metal, hard rock, nu metal, and funk metal and ska above punk.

The sound of the band "matured" on their second album The Reason where they left their metal influenced their voices-rap style, and post-grunge style became more melodic

The Reason
In 2003 they released "The Reason", whose first single "Out of Control" could be downloaded for free from their official website.

But his greatest success is the single that gives name to the album, called "The Reason," which sold over three million copies in the United States and reached number 2 on the Billboard Hot 100. The single was also nominated for a Grammy for song of the year in 2005.
